Meet Mike Davis - Owner of Hilltop Signs and Graphics

Today we are introducing you to the man who makes it all happen. Everyone meet Mike Davis! When Mike was just 21 years old, he decided to purchase his parents graphics and gifts business, and turn it into what is now Hilltop Signs and Graphics. Mike puts everything into his company, and treats his employees just like family. Now you can spend the next few minutes getting to know Mike just a little bit better.

A one-minute overview of Mike

Mike was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Southern Maryland. He graduated from Chopticon High School where he was a big part of the drum-line, he still plays drums to this day. Mike and his wife have two beautiful kids, and a family farm that consists of goats, chickens and a pig. Mike enjoys boating and vacationing down south in his RV.

What keeps you excited about being at Hilltop everyday?

The entrepreneurial game keeps me excited. It's like a chess game, you make strategic moves everyday. I also love the diversity of the sign industry, there is no limit to what you can do when designing and fabricating signs.

What is one of your favorite jobs you have worked on?

One of my favorite jobs was the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs Stadium in summer 2018. Everything from the custom food stand signage to the outfield wall wraps. The fabrication and installation of the whole sign package was one of my favorites.

What is your favorite material to work with?

High Density Urethane, you can carve HDU into anything you can think of or design. There are an infinite amount of shaped and dimensional techniques you can produce.

Favorite work snack?

Cookies, I have never met a cookie I didn't like

How do you take your coffee?

A little cream, a little sugar

What is something you wish you did more of?

I would like to do more painting and sculpting with speciality projects. I love to be able to get creative while bringing a customers imagination to life.
