Restoring a County Landmark
Updated: Oct 23, 2018
The Tackle Box sign in Lexington Park, a landmark in St Mary's County, was recently destroyed in a wind storm that went through the area. The Tackle Box has been in business since 1960 and the sign has played a big part in their company.

The Tackle Box contacted Hilltop Signs & Graphics after the storm to fabricate a new sign for their store that kept the sentimental design of the old sign.
Hilltop Fabricated an Aluminum Cabinet sign with a hinged face and exposed neon. We were able to recover some of the old letters and neon for the new sign then reproduced the ones that were destroyed.
After the fabrication of the cabinet and letters, it was time for install.
First, we set the sign in the existing sign pole.
Then, we welded the poles together on site.
To finish, the neon was placed into the letters and wired.
Hilltop Signs & Graphics is very grateful for the opportunity to restore one of St. Mary's Counties landmarks.
